So, a TON has happened in the past year and nine months for me and Sammy! =) Sammy proposed on Dec. 24, 2007 after almost exactly one year of dating. Here are some pictures from our first year (our 2007) of being together...a quick review. I love some of our first pictures together - lol! =)
This picture is HILARIOUS! The guy @ Steak N' Shake that Sammy is paying, was our server. And in December 2006, and my then buddy Sammy and I were debating if he should go home to Northeast Indiana with me (four days later) for my sister's wedding. So we were asking this server's advice. Well... we went back into that Steak N' Shake (at Turkey Creek) like a year later, and the server was still working there. So of course we aksed if he remembered us! =) He said "Yah" and walked away. Sam was like, "Yah, he does not remember us." Well, the server came back like ten minutes later, and was like "Yes, I do. So, you must have gone to the wedding then, and are still together?" lol, how funny, b/c I'm sure the server at Steak N' Shake hears some good stories! =)

January 2007 we went to Nashville together for Sammy's cousin, Aaron's birthday. We went to a Comedy Club and saw Eddie Murphy's brother, Charlie Murphy perform. This was like my third time in Nashville... EVER! =)

I HAD to put up a picture of this! When I met Sam his fish tank was growing so many different shades of green, I felt so bad for the little fish! So, it took us a 13 hour workday, but we finished the fish tank - and I was even able to get some pink in the mix! =) I wish I had a before picture!

We spent our February 2007 at Bailey's playing photo hunt... $20 in quarters later, we did finish with the top score =).

My little shih-tzu Chloe that Sam developed a very strong love/hate relationship with.

March 1, my 25th birthday, in our own little booth at Naples. We put a note in one of those wine bottles behind us =).
Still March of 2007, one of the guys Sam worked with gave him free tickets to the SEC Championship basketball game in Atlanta. Since UT was ousted the first night, we went to the Georgia Aquarium, ESPN Sports Zone, and Six Flags.
If you're going to go to Six Flags, go the opening weekend... as you can tell - it was PACKED! =)
I LOVE roller coasters, but I was terrified to go on this thing. And since we had an hour wait (this was basically the only ride with a wait), they sent us up a second time for free! Good thing Sammy pulled the rip cord, b/c if it were up to me - we would probably still be dangling up there! =)
Our St. Patty's day GREEN!
May 2007 my first Smokies baseball game ever!
Sam had never karaoke'd before, so I got him up on stage at Wannabe's in Nashville!
In May 2007, we went back to northeast Indiana for my younger sister Katie's high school graduation. After a few days in Berne, we traveled 3 1/2 hours north to Sandusky, Ohio to go to the best roller coaster amusement park on earth! Cedar Point!
Sammy is not crazy about all roller coasters... but I was impressed - he did every single one of them with me! =)

June 14, Sammy turned 29, so I decided to take him to Chicago since he had shown me a few cities in the south. I wanted to take him to a northern city that I like to go to, that he had never visited. We flew out of Nashville Friday morning and came back Sunday. I had to give him his cake the day before, so that he could take it to work, b/c there was no way we could eat all of it!

Buckingham Fountain

The face in Millenium Park.
Windy City skyline on Navy Pier
Cubbies game!
So it was the end of July, and I had taken Thursday and Friday off of work to go back to Berne, Indiana for our town's Swiss Days Festival. Well, Sammy surprised me with a last minute trip to Vegas instead! =) And no, there were no 1 a.m. wedding vows on the trip!
In front of Paris Paris... we both did pretty good in this casino! =)
Our favorite cup!
Bellagio fountains
Hoover Dam
In August my dad came up from Palm Coast, Florida to buy some property on Norris Lake. So while my dad and his wife were in one helicopter, Sam and I got in the other one and took a tour of the land too! =)
The summer of 07, we were at Advertiser's softball games ALL THE TIME! =) While they didn't always win, we still had fun!
Sammy at his first in-person Boomsday ever! Lounging in the grass waiting for the show to begin!
Homemade icecream! =)
In October of 07, my little sister had a tennis match in Cincy, OH so we went to see her play!
So since we were in Cincy, where Kings Island is at, we went to another amusement park! Since Ashley's mom lives in that area, Brian and Ashley met us for some Kings Island fun!

Well the transmission went out in Sam's navigator, so we had to abandon his vehicle at a repair shop in Cincy, and come back the next weekend. So since we were in Cincy yet again (two weeks in a row), we went to Kings Island one more time and found this deal inside the park. Yes, we filled up the ENTIRE BAG for only $20.00!

So we have TONS and TONS of Kings Island glasses, cups, etc. That's pretty much all we filled the bag up with!

Football season!!! My camera broke and gave everything an orange hue... which kind of worked out perfect for this picture =).

After one of the home games...

Still October 2007, Sammy said he had never carved a pumpkin before (or if he had, it had been YEARS)... so we set to work!

We were proud of the finished product! We couldn't start with a complicated design =).

I was so excited for trick-or-treaters - so we passed out candy before getting dressed up ourselves... Sam scared some of the older kids with his gorilla mask.

A little 3 year old trick or treater saw Chloe, and actually chased her up the stairs in Sam's house!

Cowboy & Cowgirl!

So... thanks to Brian's dad, we got tickets to the SEC Championship football game in Atlanta - UT vs. LSU

Who wouldn't want a pic with the Chik-fil-a cow?
The best seats we will probably EVER HAVE at a major sporting event =). And they were free!
Who do you think made these for our 12 month? Me or Sam? =)
Christmas Eve - December 24, 2007

Sam took me to Ruth Chris and then we were coming back to open up presents... as you can see in this picture - no ring yet!

A sweet proposal! =)
