"The Pod"

Ok, so I was making Sammy's lunch at 5:30 a.m. this morning, and I had to start laughing. Today was the first time I added "The Pod" to his lunch in months.
So... months ago... Sammy and I were all excited, because we decided that since we pack his lunch everyday (the closest restaurant is a Subway and it's about a 20 minute drive away from his jobsite because he works out in the BOONIES) we needed to get him a thermos. Well, we seriously evaluated the thermos's for like 15 minutes at Wal-Mart and decided on the one I have affectionately named "The Pod." It had a screw on lid and a cover, and we thought it was the best thermos of all! =) lol
So, the next morning we were all excited to send him off to work with "The Pod." So I filled it up with grape juice, he's all ready for work at the door, grab his lunch, etc. So we kiss goodbye at the door...and I'm like "Look at The Pod, I love this thing..." and to demonstrate how much better our pod is over the normal plastic cups I'd been sending with him to drink on his morning drive... I shake "the pod" and turn it upside down for a good demonstration.
Well... apparently I don't have much experience with thermoses b/c bright purple grape juice goes flying EVERYWHERE: all over Sammy, our white carpet, me, etc.. Sam and I were both shocked, and I was immediately like "Oh no! We bought a defective pod!!!" Well, turns out, that I had mistaken the thermos COVER, as the LID! So I had forgotten to screw the lid back on, and I had just put the cover on, which apparently is not sealproof!
Anyways, Sam and I had to laugh again about that this morning! =)
