~ 50 and Fabulous ~

My mom just turned the big 5-0 on March 30, so in order to make it a good surprise party, we had to celebrate two weeks early! =) We reserved a room at the Back 40 in Decatur, Indiana, and I think the only time my mom suspected anything was about ten minutes before she arrived. I'm a TERRIBLE LIAR, and my story about my vehicle getting towed in Decatur...well, I should have come up with something better! =) She thought my sister and I would be there, but she had no idea there would be other family members, friends, and co-workers. So anyways her surprise party was a success! We had a great time, and seriously, Back 40 is the BEST BUFFET EVER!
Sammy had to work that weekend and couldn't come, so we had to take a picture of me and our little girl before heading out! I am a little over 28 weeks here =)

I made my mom's cake and was scared it might not make the 4 hour trip! So I had to take a pic or two before I left =)

5 candles instead of 50 =)

I was SO CLOSE to Berne, and hit a bird flying across the road! I looked in my rearview and just saw a ball of feathers. I think it was a chubby one, b/c it left a pretty good dent!

Most of my mom's gifts were presents to help her in her trek "Over the Hill" or "50 Somethings". This one was actually a normal present =).

In case you didn't notice Addy in the background of the last picture... she loved the bows and wanted them all on her head =). HOW CUTE!
