Ok, now here's July 2009. We had my dad and Janie visit from Florida to see Brylee over the 4th of July, Sam and I took Brylee on her first road trip (to St. Louis) for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and we also went to Berne Swiss Days.
July 1, 2009... 5 wks and 4 days old, doing her first cheer - yes, I have since gotten her a different white hairbow... Sam said this looked like a boy's head thing.. lol=)
Dad and Janie came up from Florida for the 4th and to meet Brylee
At dinner... we were supposed to go to the Regatta that day, but bad weather cancelled it
It is soooo cute when she puts her little arms up while sleeping. My sister told me babies do that when they feel safe and secure - don't know if it's true or not... but I would like to believe it is! =)
Already stealing the remote from Daddy! Also, this is the outfit I had bought and wrapped up to have Sam open up to tell him we were expecting! =)
Our little Love Bug
6 weeks and 2 days old... cute little road warrior on her way to St. Louis for Sam and my 1 year wedding anniversary!
Neat hotel... Union Station downtown, the gamble with Priceline paid off =)
Happy to be out of that carseat
Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour... the aging cellars (there are over 3600 of these things!)
the horse stable
The guys in the blue and orange are the ESPN camera crew. There were about 10 escalators you have to take to get to this room, they got to use the elevator.
Grape beer? A sample they were handing out
And we left with a magnet and some BBQ sauce
Outside our hotel and on our way to eat supper
Sam got me to try some of his lobster tails... I actually liked em =)
End of a long day, in her little duckie pj's =)
Day 2 - Brylee is ready to see the arch!
So, we decided we were going to follow those anniversary gift lists that you see, and get each other something "paper". Aka... like a card and a magazine subscription, etc.. Well, lucky for me, Sammy cheated! =) He printed off the picture of the necklace he got me (as my "paper" gift)...the necklace has two diamonds (representing me and Sammy), and then a green saphire (Brylee's birthstone). Pretty! =)
leaving the mall ...
A bunch of baseball stuff was set up outside of our hotel... here's Miss Brylee covered by our free paraphernilia
Yah! The arch!
And this right here is how you get to the top of the arch, in a mini pod that takes 4 minutes to get to the top.... time to get cozy with the neighbors!
After the arch... touring downtown outside our hotel
And who do you think sponsored this free photo? =)
We passed tons of sculptures and neat fountain stuff on our walk downtown.
And this is funny... we had planned to go to a nice restaurant, but we got so caught up in sight seeing it was like 10 p.m. on a Sunday by the time we got back to our room. By the time we got pizza it was midnight... but it was perfect, b/c we had pizza delivered on our wedding night too! =)
Brylee happy to be back home in Louisville

I love putting her in this warm and fuzzy sleeper after bathtime
8 weeks old!!!
Up in Berne for Swiss Days (our town festival)... my sister Katie entertaining Brylee while I pick out an outfit for her
Brylee's first time meeting her Great-Grandpa Miller
Roy and Cathy had talked to my parents at Sam and my wedding last year about coming up north for Swiss Days. Here's Roy and Sam with their festival wins.
The first stuffed animal Brylee has had won for her =)
Addie and Zach.... she gets to be carried the fun way
Cousin pictures... as you can tell Addy looks thrilled! What is she going to be like when her parents bring home triplets in a few months!?!
Brylee and Grandma Sue (my mom)
Roy and Cathy getting some smiles
At Pine Lake Water Park... where I spent the majority of my summers at home lifeguarding... my little sister now carries on that tradition..haha
Katie guarding at lilly pads... believe it or not, I had to jump in at this section TEN TIMES IN ONE DAY to save little kids.
Brylee 9 weeks old!
The girls on Friday night
My stepdad is in charge of the Swiss Days 5k and since this is the 35th anniversary of the race we all wore "Jack's Team" shirts =)
Sam and my mom went into Jack's office at the bank and stole this million dollar bill. Sam and I are still living off of it today... haha
Our pretty little baby =)
Brylee and I downtown at Swiss Days
Me and the hubbie
Tara (one of the bridesmaids from my wedding) had her baby 2 weeks after Brylee was born. As you can tell... both babies were super excited about the introduction... haha
