Summer Overview Part 1 - June!

Since Brylee was born on May 22, I spent the majority of my summer not getting much sleep. So if the option to take a nap or udpate our blog came up... well, the nap always won! =) BUT that doesn't mean I didn't stop taking pictures! So... I was going to combine the whole summer overview into one "brief" blog, but it just became too long. So here it is by month.
     In June, we had Granny Paulette come for a week, Grandma Sue come for a week, and we also took Brylee on her first day trip to celebrate Sammy's birthday on June 14!

Almost 2 full weeks old and her newborn clothes no longer fit! It was so fast too, they snapped on Monday that week, and by Thursday were too small!

Ha... how I grocery shopped until I found out Meijer has bigger carts than Kroger's and I can fit her carseat in the front part of the cart at their store =)

Brylee 3 weeks old! Cousin Addy came over to check out her new cousin. The verdict? Addy wasn't too thrilled with Brylee yet. =)

Even though we had a newborn, Sam still got to celebrate his b-day on June 14! =) I surprised him and took him on a Maker's Mark Distillery tour (it's a National landmark and there are apparently 7 distilleries close to Louisville)... anyways, this is "Whiskey Creek"

So if you drink Maker's Mark, please know that they let everyone on their 7 tours they give a day, put their grubby paws in your future drink! =) lol

And the 31st birthday boy got to dip his own Maker's Mark bottle ... I missed the best photo op of the trip b/c I had to take Brylee out to the car to feed her!

I came home from grocery shopping one day, and there was a DEAD SHARK behind our fish tank! We started the summer with 30 fish, and now have 2. I bought kissing fish (thinking how cute.. they kiss!), and apparently they are semi-aggressive and killed all of our other fish! Eghhh!

I tried to put one of her little bows on her head, and hope she wouldn't turn her head before I took the pic. As you can tell, didn't work! The little hairbow is laying beside her =)

5 weeks old!

5 wks and 3 days old.. she loves lounging on daddy
